O’Meara said lawmakers and members of the press were among those trying to “shame” officers into being embarrassed about their professions.
“You know what,” O’Meara said, raising his police badge. “This isn’t stained by someone in Minneapolis. It’s still got a shine on it and so do theirs. So do theirs. Stop treating us like animals and thugs.
Start treating us with some respect.”
US fighter jets intercept 8 Russian warplanes 30 miles from Alaska
U.S. F-22 Raptor fighter jets intercepted two Russian bomber formations, comprised of Russian Tu-95 bombers, Su-35 fighter jets, and A-50 airborne early warning and control aircraft, just 30 miles from Alaska.
The Russian Defense Ministry posted a video of their bombers taking off and later being intercepted.
“Intercepting multiple Russian aircraft demonstrates NORAD forces’ readiness and capability to defend the homelands 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year,” NORAD Commander Air Force Gen. Terrence J. O’Shaughnessy said of the intercepts.
“Flying air patrols protects the approaches to our nations and sends a clear message we continue executing our homeland defense missions with the same capability and capacity we always bring to the fight.”
Chinese Propaganda Outlet Paid Millions to Washington Post, Wall Street Journal
A Chinese propaganda outlet paid millions of dollars to The Washington Post and The Wall Street Journal to run advertisements that look to some like news reports.
New documents filed with the U.S. Department of Justice show China Daily paid over $4.6 million to the Post and nearly $6 million to the Journal since November 2016.
China Daily, an English-language newspaper, is overseen by the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) Publicity Department, the governmental agency in charge of disseminating propaganda.
Birx says dozens of coronavirus testing sites destroyed amid protests: report
Birx reportedly raised concerns in a conference call on Monday that the destroyed COVID-19 testing sites serving inner-city populations could set back efforts to contain the spread, according to the Daily Beast, based on a recording of the call they say they obtained.
Birx said the destruction “had already resulted in an appreciable drop in testing rates there,” according to the outlet.
“All of the governors are going to have to scramble to make sure there is testing available in those urban areas,” Birx reportedly said.
Sister of slain federal protective officer tells Congress calls to defund police ‘ridiculous’
“It is a ridiculous solution to claim that defunding police departments is the solution to police brutality and discrimination because it’s not a solution.
It gets us nowhere as a nation and removes the safety net protection that every citizen deserves from their communities elected officials,” Angela Underwood Jacobs said at the House Judiciary Committee’s hearing on proposed changes to police practices on Capitol Hill.
Jacobs’ brother, Patrick Underwood, was stationed in front of the U.S. Courthouse in Oakland Calif., on May 29 when a vehicle pulled up the building and opened fire at him and another contract security officer who both worked for Homeland Security’s Federal Protective Service. Underwood was killed while the second officer was wounded.
Harvard Prof. Charles Lieber Indicted for Secret Work with Wuhan University
Breitbart News reported in January that Lieber had been removed from his Harvard post and arrested on charges that he lied about his connections with the Chinese government. Lieber reported worked with China’s Thousand Talents program, which bribes American academics in exchange for access to taxpayer-funded research.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts on Tuesday claimed that Lieber worked with the Wuhan University of Technology on various scientific programs.
It is alleged that, unbeknownst to Harvard University, beginning in 2011, Lieber became a “Strategic Scientist” at Wuhan University of Technology (WUT) in China. He later became contractual participant in China’s Thousand Talents Plan from at least 2012 through 2015.
Antifa Releases List of Demands After Taking Over 6 Square Block Section in Seattle and Setting Up Armed Security Watch — List Includes Reparations and Ending Police Dept.
The antifa terrorists are advocating for “folks with firearms” to take shifts defending the barricades.
The Antifa group set up barricades at the border and certain areas for dining and public speech.

A List of Celebrities Donating to Social Justice Causes Since Floyd Protests Began
Many of the stars are pushing their millions of followers to do the same.
Some celebrities are donating to controversial bail funds like the Minnesota Freedom Fund that seek to bail out protestors and rioters.
Members of Joe Biden’s presidential campaign have also donated to the Minnesota Freedom Fund.

Hundreds Mourn Retired St. Louis Police Capt. David Dorn Killed in Looting
Dorn was killed while reportedly trying to defend his friend’s pawn shop, Lee’s Pawn and Jewelry, on June 2, after a protest descended into a riot.
Stephan Cannon, 24, who is suspected of killing Dorn, was charged with one count of first-degree murder, one count of first-degree robbery, one count of first-degree burglary, one count of felon in possession of a firearm, and three counts of armed criminal action, St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kimberly M. Gardner said in a statement Sunday.
Dorn served 38 years in the St. Louis Police Department.
A private memorial service honoring Dorn’s life will be held Wednesday.
Statue of Christopher Columbus in Boston beheaded
A Christopher Columbus statue in Boston’s North End neighborhood was damaged Tuesday evening.
The head of the statue was reported severed to Boston police sometime before midnight, WCVB reports.
The statue in Boston’s North End has been damaged several times in recent years. In 2015, the statue was dosed in red paint with “Black Lives Matter” spray painted onto its base.
In 2006, the head of the statue was removed and remained missing for several days.
UCLA Professor On Leave For Refusing To Postpone A Final Exam Over Protests
The University of California, Los Angeles placed a lecturer on leave last week after he allegedly refused “give black students special treatment” and postpone a final exam.
Klein has said that he was following his direct supervisor’s orders when he refused a request to postpone the exam, NBC reported.
An email obtained by the Washington Free Beacon purports to show that UCLA Anderson School of Management diversity committee chairman Professor Judson Caskey pushed professors to refrain from changing final exam plans.
Homicides this week have increased 250% in L.A. compared to last week, LAPD says
The increased numbers were recorded during the week of May 31-June 6, but officials also reported continued violence this week.
“The past 24 hours has seen four shootings, one of those resulting in a homicide,” an LAPD statement said.
The homicide occurred about 5:20 a.m. Tuesday in the 800 block of North Vermont Avenue in the east Hollywood area. The victim, a man in his 40s, died at the scene. No information was available on the man’s identity, or on a suspect.
Seattle protesters storm City Hall, demand mayor resign after driving police out of area, declaring autonomous zone
Hundreds of protesters, aided by a sympathetic City Council member, stormed Seattle’s City Hall Tuesday night to demand the mayor’s resignation, just days after seizing a six-block downtown zone that includes a shuttered police precinct.
The protesters continued to camp out in a self-declared “Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone” (CHAZ)– a region spanning six blocks and encompassing the precinct– which has effectively been abandoned by law enforcement after the Seattle Police Department closed the East Precinct on Monday.
Seattle Councilwoman Kshama Sawant met protesters inside City Hall on Tuesday night– even though the building is usually closed at night– Komo News reported.

Hickenlooper Blames His Ethics Violations on Republicans
Hickenlooper’s ongoing ethics trial and conviction has cast a pall over his Senate bid, although he continues to hold a significant polling lead over incumbent Sen. Cory Gardner (R.).
Romanoff blasted Hickenlooper as “the first person ever held in contempt by an independent ethics commission” and called on him to withdraw from the race.
“Now, when he breaks the law, [he] refuses to apologize, defies a subpoena,” Romanoff said. “You heard John blame the Republicans, you heard him blame the staff, I suppose he even blames the [ethics] commission, which includes his own appointees who ruled against him.”

Dan Bongino warns House Judiciary Committee that defunding police will lead to ‘chaos and destruction’
Bongino, a conservative commentator and Fox News contributor, recognized that there are officers out there who “aren’t suited for the job,” and said he prays for “justice” for George Floyd’s family.
Floyd’s brother testified earlier Wednesday, recalling in vivid detail how George pleaded for his life while a white officer kneeled on his neck for nearly nine minutes, in an incident that touched off protests, civil unrest and calls for reform.
But Bongino insisted that most cops he knows are “heroes” who are committed to public safety, and warned that they – and the communities they serve – will suffer if the recent movement to defund police departments is successful.
Bipartisan Majorities Move to Override PA Gov. Tom Wolf and End Lockdowns
The resolution passed with bipartisan support in both chambers, 31-19 in the Senate and 121-81 in the House.
“That yes vote is a reflection of your constituents who have said enough is enough. That yes vote brings an end to our long collective nightmare,” state Rep. Russ Diamond (R), who sponsored the resolution, stated.
According to Republicans, the measure is a done deal and does not need to be presented to Wolf, but the governor’s office sharply disagrees.

NoFundThem: Conservative Commentator’s Fundraising Blocked Over Floyd Criticism
Now GoFundMe has taken it upon itself to censor causes that it views as offensive in closing down a fundraiser by conservative political commentator Candace Owens in support of an Alabama cafe whose co-owner criticized the George Floyd protests.
The question again is not whether we agree with such sentiments but the free speech implications of these forms of private censorship.
Rather than respond to such controversial statements, critics today focus on silencing the speakers or barring their views or causes to be heard by others.
What is interesting is that, by abandoning neutrality, GoFundMe is now affirming that it does regulate content and will face demands for more such action.
That could undermine the position of these companies against the loss of immunity under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act.
