Charges: Suspected Serial Rapist Jory Wiebrand Accused Of 10 Sexual Assaults In Mpls.
It took 12 different teams within the Minneapolis Police Department and a host of outside agencies to find and charge Wiebrand.
Investigators spent countless hours piecing together information they hoped would lead them to a person responsible for targeting women in the Dinkytown and Marcy Holmes neighborhoods.
But eventually, fingerprint evidence led the police to Wiebrand.
Flagler County man arrested for reportedly molesting 13-year-old girl
Calib Callard, 33, was arrested on an active warrant and charged with Lewd or Lascivious Molestation on a victim.
The victim reported that she began a relationship with Callard when she was thirteen years old and it spanned over the course of four months.
“This is a child molester that took advantage of a child and needs to be locked up before he can harm this victim or anyone else,” Sheriff Rick Staly said.
“For a grown 33-year-old man to think a relationship with a 13-year old child is normal shows that he is a deranged individual.
Warrant issued for second Neptune Beach home invasion suspect after 1 jailed and another sought
Josiah Anthony Frazier Padula is being sought on a warrant for home invasion robbery, police said.
This comes after Leonard Wayne Larramore of South 9th Street was charged Wednesday with armed home invasion robbery following his hospitalization for the bullet wound, his arrest report said.
He remains behind bars on $100,000 bail as the search continues for two other intruders, police said.
Florida Police Enforce Social Distancing On Beach, Arrest Pennsylvania Man Wanted For Murder
While enforcing social-distancing measures on the beach Sunday morning, police in Florida arrested a man who was wanted for a murder in Pennsylvania.
The Jacksonville Beach Police Department said Mario Matthew Gatti, 31, was loitering along the city’s beach and violating distancing orders.
He was identified after police ran his name and found he was wanted in Pennsylvania for his alleged involvement in a January shooting.
Police shared an image of Gatti being taken into custody on the beach clad in U.S. flag swim trunks.
Bus hijacker leads police on chase through Texas, killed in shootout with officers, officials say
The incident began on Sunday around 11 a.m. in Richardson, Texas, just north of Dallas, when the suspect allegedly entered the DART bus and fired shots, shattering several windows, according to police.
The alleged gunman, who has not been identified, then ordered the bus operator to move, police said.
The suspect allegedly shot a DART PD officer and Garland PD member during the chase, but their injuries were non-life threatening, according to police.
Officers then set up spikes on the road in Rowlett, which forced the bus to stop on the northbound PGBT between State Highway 66 and Liberty Grove, police said.

Despite COVID-19 Lockdowns, Licensed Marijuana Sales Continue in the Vast Majority of States With Legal Pot
The vast majority of states where cannabis is legal have deemed marijuana merchants “essential,” meaning they are exempt from business closure orders, although new restrictions may apply.
According to a tally by Marijuana Business Daily, medical dispensaries are exempt from business closure orders in 28 of the 33 states that allow patients to use cannabis for symptom relief.
Of the 10 states that have legalized recreational sales, eight are allowing them to continue.

Nevermind the decade-plus these universities have been enjoying inflated tuition thanks to $1.6 trillion in student loans which may be about to default – which will undoubtedly stick taxpayers with an even larger bill.

Shake Shack Hands Back $10 Million Loan After Small Biz Program Runs Out Of Funds
The move comes after the PPP, which is overseen by the Small Business Administration, ran out of funds last week.
Larger food service operations, such as Shake Shack, faced backlash for receiving sizable PPP loans while smaller, local businesses struggled to secure loans through the program.
In an open letter released Monday, Shake Shack CEO Randy Garutti and chairman Danny Meyer wrote that company decided to return the loan because they are “fortunate to now have access to capital that others do not.”
Garutti and Meyer also criticized the PPP application process in the letter, arguing that many restaurants couldn’t receive funds from the program because applying for it “came with no user manual and it was extremely confusing.”

The iconic 14,690-foot Matterhorn mountain in the Swiss Alps projected an image of the American flag last week in solidarity with the U.S. amid the coronavirus pandemic.
“Switzerland is sending hope and strength to the United States of America,” the Switzerland Embassy in the U.S. said on social media along with the photo.
“Our thoughts are with all American people at this unprecedented time.

Covid-19 deaths in France surpass 20,000 as hospitalisations continue to fall
Prime Minister Edouard Philippe told a news conference on Sunday that falls in the number of people in intensive care were one of the encouraging signals that pressures on hospitals were easing.

Germany opens some shops as Merkel warns of second wave of coronavirus

Several European countries took preliminary steps on Monday towards a return to normal pre-virus life, with some shops reopening in Germany and a resumption of school for pupils slotted to take place next month.
Bookshops, florists, fashion stores, bike and car outlets and other shops smaller than 800 sq m were permitted to reopen on Monday morning.
In Berlin a few schools allowed final-year students to sit exams. Pupils arrived wearing face-masks and took their seats at widely spaced desks.
Angela Merkel, however, warned of a possible second wave of coronavirus infection if lockdown measures were abandoned too rapidly.
The chancellor urged citizens to stay “determined” and said it would be a “crying shame” if the country which has been praised for its deft handling of the crisis fell into a “relapse”.

Netanyahu and Gantz agree to form unity Israeli government
“An agreement for the establishment of a national emergency government is now being signed,” the joint statement said.
Netanyahu and Gantz, a former army chief, have been negotiating on a rotation deal under which they each serve as prime minister for two years of a four-year term.

China’s first Type-075 amphibious assault carrier, designed for launching helicopters, caught fire last week while docked in Shanghai.
The fire broke out aboard the Chinese ship on April 11, Forbes reported. The blazing carrier was China’s first amphibious assault carrier and the ship was set to be sailed down a nearby waterway within days of when the fire broke out.
Photos and videos of the burning ship first circulated around Chinese social media, and eventually Twitter.
