Pentagon releases video of raid that killed ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi

The Pentagon on Wednesday released video footage of the raid that led to the death of Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

Marine Corps Gen. Kenneth F. McKenzie Jr., commander of U.S. Central Command, gave a play-by-play of the special operations forces raid on an ISIS compound in northern Syria last Saturday that ended with Baghdadi killing himself with an explosive vest.

Overall, U.S. forces killed six ISIS members – four women and another man aside from Baghdadi – in the raid. McKenzie also clarified that Baghdadi’s explosive vest also killed two children he had brought with him into a tunnel when U.S. troops pursued him.

Man allegedly high on PCP injured three Stamford police officers

Rodney Donnell Green, of Richmond Hill Avenue, was allegedly involved in a physical altercation with one or more people inside the Richmond Hill Mini Market at around 11:30 a.m.

When police arrived to the scene, Green was spotted on the street fighting a man, police said.

The other man told police that Green was on some form of narcotic, police said, and he told officers that Green punched him in the face.

When an officer approached Green, the Stamford resident walked toward him aggressively, police said.

The officer took out a Taser gun and told Green to step back, according to the police report, but Green allegedly told him, “I’m going to f— you up.”

Parents, 2 children, found dead in West Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Four family members are dead, including a 6-year-old and a 17-year-old, following a shooting at a home in West Philadelphia, according to police.

“The employer of the male and female that resides here notified police that their employees did not show up for work, which is very unlike them,” said Deputy Commissioner Joe Sullivan with the Philadelphia Police Department.

When officers arrived, they found a 51-year-old woman shot by the front door, a 17-year-old boy shot in a bedroom, a 6-year-old boy shot in the kitchen and a man shot by the basement door. All four were pronounced dead by a medical unit.

‘Hero driver’ receives new car after crashing into suspected drunk driver, saving couple crossing street

Shannon Vivar says she doesn’t remember the moment when the car she was driving with her mom and young son took the brunt of the impact from a vehicle running a red light, which in turn saved a couple who was crossing the street. She says she was in the right place at the right time.

“It just happened so quickly, I think it was all meant to happen that way,” said Shannon Vivar. “Something was telling me to just hold on a little bit, you know?”

While Shannon calls it divine intervention, the people at Carvana call her a hero and wanted to do something special for her.

JetBlue flight attendant busted by FBI officer in child sex sting operation, report says

Jeffrey Aronofsky, 53, was taken into custody last Friday at a property in Lake Mary, according to Spectrum News 13.

In a complaint filed in U.S. District Court, prosecutors allege Aronofsky was planning to have sex with an 8-year-old in front of his father — yet the father turned out to be an officer working for the FBI, the website adds.

Investigators were tipped off to Aronofsky’s alleged intentions after reportedly coming into contact with him on an online dating site.

Ronald Reagan Presidential Library threatened by Easy Fire in Simi Valley amid ‘extreme red flag warning’

The Ventura County Fire Department issued a mandatory evacuation for an area that included the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.

The flames appeared to be burning mostly vegetation north of the library, located close to some residential areas.

A spokesperson from the Reagan Library told Fox News the hilltop library will be closed Wednesday due to the conditions created by the blaze.

“It’s the closest this library has ever come to this danger,” he told FOX11. “So this is really serious stuff. So far they seem to be on top of it.”

Forensic Pathologist Suggests Jeffrey Epstein May Have Been Murdered

Dr. Michael Baden, who is a former longtime New York City medical examiner, was hired by the Epstein family to investigate the death and talked to “Fox & Friends” about his findings.

Baden particularly noted a series of fractures on Epstein’s larynx, on or near the Adam’s apple, which he told Fox News are not consistent with a suicidal hanging.

“I’ve not seen in 50 years where that occurred in a suicidal hanging case,” he said of the neck fractures.

Politics:

Twitter bans all political advertisements from platform

Facebook has taken fire since it disclosed earlier in October that it will not fact-check ads by politicians or their campaigns, which could allow them to lie freely. CEO Mark Zuckerberg told Congress last week that politicians have the right to free speech on Facebook.

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey tweeted the change Wednesday, saying the company is recognizing that advertising on social media offers an unfair level of targeting compared to other mediums.

The majority of money spent on political advertising in the U.S. goes to television ads.

Georgia lawmaker: Make aiding gender transition of minors a felony

While the bill is still being drafted, Ehrhart said Georgia medical providers who perform surgeries or administer or prescribe medications that assist minors with gender transition could be charged with a felony.

The legislation would not effect doctors working with adults who seek to undergo gender transition.

“We’re talking about children that can’t get a tattoo or smoke a cigar or a cigarette in the state of Georgia, but can be castrated and get sterilized,” she said.

In her press release, Ehrhart included quotes from Atlanta-based pediatric endocrinologist Dr. Quentin Van Meter, who said the proposal is needed to protect children from “medical experimentation based on wishful social theory.

Migrants recall abuse and rape in Yemeni town

Nearly every migrant who lands here is imprisoned in hidden compounds while their families are shaken down for money. Like Zahra, they are subjected to daily torments ranging from beatings and rapes to starvation, their screams drowned out by the noise of generators or cars or simply lost in the desert.

“Out of every thousand, 800 disappear in the lockups,” said a humanitarian worker monitoring the flow of migrants.

Traffickers who torture are a mix of Yemenis and Ethiopians of different ethnic groups. So victims cannot appeal to tribal loyalties, they are tortured by men from other groups: If the migrants are Oromia, the torturers are Tigrinya.

The imprisonment and torture are largely ignored by Yemeni authorities. The AP saw trucks full of migrants passing unhindered through military checkpoints as they went from the beaches to drop their human cargo at each desert compound, known in Arabic as a “hosh.”

The APEC summit was scheduled to bring together 20 world leaders, including U.S. President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping, on Nov. 16-17.

Russian nuclear sub successfully test-launches intercontinental ballistic missile, government claims

The vessel “is the first upgraded 955A model to be produced in the Borei class of Russian nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarines,” Reuters reported.

The submarine will enter Russia’s Northern Fleet in December, once it’s done with weapon tests, Vice Admiral Alexander Moiseev said.

Earlier this month, Russian President Vladimir Putin oversaw war drills intended to test the readiness of the nation’s strategic forces for a nuclear conflict.

The drills featured practice launches of several intercontinental ballistic missiles as well as warships and strategic bombers firing cruise missiles at test targets.

Russia-backed Syria constitution talks begin in Geneva

The meeting – a key proposal from Moscow – in Geneva is being overseen by the UN special envoy for Syria, Geir Pedersen, but has been fraught with difficulties, ranging from last-minute hiccups over the committee’s composition, wrangles over the opening ceremony and, crucially, fresh fighting in north-east Syria between the Syrian army and Turkish-backed troops.

The talks, the fourth attempt to end the war through negotiation, faces myriad obstacles and Pedersen has played down the prospect of a breakthrough.

One difficulty is that the committee must adopt resolutions either by consensus or with a 75% majority, seen by some as a recipe for paralysis.

Although seven Kurds are on the committee, the political wing of the mainly Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces in north-east Syria has been excluded.

The Kurdish Syrian autonomous administration objected to the exclusion on Monday.
