Frightening dashcam footage shows Illinois police officer swerving out of the way of train

Mokena police officer Peter Stanglewicz posted the video of the Nov. 9 incident to his Facebook account last week, giving people a firsthand look at how close he was to barreling into the train.

The frightening footage showed Stanglewicz driving past Schillings home improvement in Mokena and heading toward the tracks without the warning lights and gates activated, according to the Daily Southtown.

California illegal immigrant ‘cop-killer’ taken into custody, officials say

The news comes as the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department — which has been handling the case — says it will be holding a press conference at 3 p.m. ET Friday to discuss “significant developments in the Newman investigation.” The Kern County Sheriff’s Office told Fox News it will hold its own press conference an hour later.

The suspect, whose name has not yet been revealed, also may have connections to a violent Mexican-American street gang, according to an image circulating on social media confirmed as authentic by investigators early Friday.

Georgia police officer becomes sixth from state to have been killed in the line of duty in 2018

The Henry County Police Department says Officer Michael Smith passed away early this morning stemming from complications related to a gunshot injury he suffered while in the line of duty Dec. 6.

Smith had been called to investigate a man acting erratically at a dental office in McDonough, outside of Atlanta, when he was shot. Police say 53-year-old Dimaggio McNelly got into a physical altercation with Smith after he was approached, and, during the ensuing scuffle, the officer’s weapon was fired once, killing McNelly at the scene and hitting Smith in the face, Fox5Atlanta reported.

2 MS-13 gang members accused of shooting 16-year-old to death

Melvin Josue Salvador, 18, and Celso Onelio Sandoval, 25, are both charged with the murder of Edwin Triguerus.

The teen was reportedly shot to death in the 5300 block of De Soto on Dec. 16.

Investigators say Triguerus was shot while he was talking to a man in a four-door Acura. The teen was transported to the hospital in critical condition, but died two days later, according to police.

Trump urged to nationalize ‘E-Verify’ after 700 percent surge in arrests of illegal workers

Led by advocates of tighter immigration laws, Trump is getting advice to nationalize the E-Verify system that the federal government uses to make sure that contractors are hiring employees that are legally allowed to work in the United States.

“Of all of the proposals, however, E-Verify would be the most effective at curbing illegal entries and limiting nonimmigrant overstays. And the president could likely make it mandatory through executive action,” added Arthur, now a legal expert with the Center for Immigration Studies.

The push for the simple employment verification system, currently a voluntary opt-in for nongovernment contractors, comes after Immigration and Customs Enforcement revealed stunning new statistics of workplace enforcement investigations.

New Migrant Caravan of 15,000 Set to Leave Honduras in January

Spanish-language media and groups that support illegal immigration are circulating stories of the caravan, which would be much bigger than any of the four caravans that traveled toward the United States this year.

“They say they are even bigger and stronger than the last caravan,” Irma Garrido, a member of the pro-migrant group Reactiva Tijuana Foundation, told the San Diego Union-Tribune.

Prosecutor sues Justice Department over man shot 59 times

Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard said Friday that federal authorities have blocked his prosecutors from interviewing the officers who killed Jamarion Robinson, 26.

Howard said the federal agency has also stymied his investigation of the 2016 killing by refusing to turn over any documents, despite numerous requests during the past two years under the federal Freedom of Information Act.

Chicago residents shot by man dressed as postal worker

Investigators say the gunman knocked on the door of a home in the city’s South Side neighborhood Thursday afternoon before shooting at the 27-year-old man and 23-year-old woman who opened it up.

Police say the man claimed he had a package to deliver to the male victim, who currently is in serious condition after suffering multiple gunshot wounds to the chest, according to WLS. The woman is reported to be in stable condition.

Michigan man finds his twin fatally shot with crossbow outside home

Norton Shores cops said they arrested a 20-year-old man from Grant on an open murder charge in connection with the shooting of Marcus Olmstead, also 20. The shooting was not a random act and the suspect apparently knew Olmstead, authorities said.

The man had “discharged a crossbow at the victim, striking him in the torso and killing him in his driveway,” a news release from the Norton Shores Police Department stated.

Facebook’s massive, secret rulebook for policing speech reveals inconsistencies, gaps and biases

According to the blockbuster New York Times report, the rules show the social network to be “a far more powerful arbiter of global speech than has been publicly recognized or acknowledged by the company itself.”

The Times discovered a range of gaps, biases and outright errors — including instances where Facebook allowed extremism to spread in some counties while censoring mainstream speech in others.

The rulebook’s details were revealed Thursday night thanks to a Facebook employee who leaked over 1,400 pages of the speech policing rulebook to the Times because he “feared that the company was exercising too much power, with too little oversight — and making too many mistakes.”

Planned Parenthood President Calls Killing Babies in Abortions “Standard Medical Care”

Leana Wen, a medical doctor and the new leader of America’s largest abortion chain, defended aborting unborn babies on Twitter in December as many Americans prepared to celebrate Christmas, the birth of Jesus Christ.

Wen oversees about 320,000 abortions a year at Planned Parenthood, as well as about half a billion taxpayer dollars.

Planned Parenthood’smost recent annual report showed a record income of $1.46 billion. In recent years, the abortion giant has been exposed in numerous scandals involving potentially illegal sales of aborted babies’ body parts, Medicaid fraud and failures to report sexual abuse of minors.

NANCY PELOSI VACATIONS IN LUXURIOUS HAWAIIAN RESORT AMID GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN

ObamaCare mandate says goodbye in 2019, as health law faces new threat

While the requirement to buy insurance was considered a crucial part of the original law, enrollment dipped but did not dive in anticipation of that penalty disappearing. The official numbers show enrollment in the 39 states that use the federal exchange declined by 4.2 percent from last year – from roughly 8.8 million to 8.5 million.

Meanwhile, many people who did not find ObamaCare to be a good deal skipped it and either paid the price or made an excuse. Figures from the Internal Revenue Service show that 4.1 million taxpayers in 2017 paid the penalty for not having insurance in 2016. The federal government collected $2.9 billion in revenue from those taxpayers. Another 10.8 million taxpayers claimed one of many hardship exemptions.

Merkel has previously accused critics of the UN Global Compact for Safe and Orderly Migration of not being patriotic, saying “That is not patriotism, because patriotism is when you include others in German interests and accept win-win situations”.

Her words echo recent comments by the deeply unpopular French President Emmanuel Macron who stated in a Remembrance Day speech that “patriotism is the exact opposite of nationalism [because] nationalism is treason.”

The French president’s words were deeply unpopular with the French population and his approval rating nosedived even further after the comments.

RUSSIA SUCCESSFULLY TESTS WEAPON THAT TRAVELS 27 TIMES SPEED OF SOUND AND RENDERS MISSILE DEFENSE SYSTEMS ‘USELESS’—OFFICIALS

On Wednesday, the Russian military completed a successful test of the Avangard—according to the Kremlin—in which the weapon was launched from the Dombarovskiy missile base in the Southern Ural Mountains, striking a practice target 3,700 miles away in Kamchatka, a peninsula in the far east of the country.

President Vladimir Putin oversaw the test, commenting afterward that the weapons system would guarantee Russia’s security for the foreseeable future and that it could be deployed as early as next year.

Deadly blast hits tour bus near Giza pyramids in Egypt

A roadside blast has killed two Vietnamese tourists and injured 12 other people on a bus near the Giza pyramids in Egypt, the Egyptian ministry of interior says.

A bomb hidden beside a wall went off as the bus carrying 14 Vietnamese tourists was passing, it adds.

Two Egyptians, including the bus driver, are among the injured, according to the ministry.

Spain – US Student Barely Survives Madrid Rape And Brutal Attack

American student Miss Andrea Sicignano (27 years old) has been studying and living in Madrid since last summer. She had a wonderful time there, until she was brutally abused and raped.

After going out, Andrea, who had been drinking too much, got into the wrong bus by accident last week. She landed in a part of the city unknown to her, got out and sat down in the bus shelter to figure out how to get home.

“I was lost at 4am, and all public transport had stopped running. I needed help and this man assured me he could help me get home,” she writes in her powerful account of the night’s events.

Swedish TV ‘Hushed Up’ Murder Of Scandinavian Tourists in Morocco

Over in Sweden, state broadcaster SVT’s coverage of the double murder of 24-year-old Louisa Vesterager Jespersen and 28-year-old Maren Ueland by Islamists who had sworn allegiance to Islamic State sparked a fury of criticism.

The state broadcaster, largely staffed with leftwing state employees, ran an article which read that the brutal murder and subsequent decapitation of the two Scandinavian girls “had nothing to do with Islam.”

Furthermore, both politicians and media in Scandinavia are pushing the narrative that sharing of the graphic video of the murder is illegal, warning people not to share or download the video.

On Dec. 17 he was summoned to the firm’s London office. He was told that two female colleagues have filed ​complaints against him. They claimed he had behaved ​inappropriately throughout the office’s Christmas party.

Hours later, on his way back home to Cardiff, Thomas made a detour up a Southerndown cliff. A day later, he was found dead in his car at the bottom of the cliff. His daughter’s teddy bear was found at the clifftop.

Family of John Kerry Fights for Wall Around French Property

French law dictates that the country’s coastlines must remain open to all but property owners in Saint-Briac-sur-Mer have for years blocked access to part of the coast.

The coastline in question will finally open to all in January unless the latest round of lawsuits succeeds.

Where Was The Media Outrage When 18 Migrants Died In Custody Under The Obama Administration?

It’s not something that anyone wants in these situations, but U.S. immigration authorities didn’t murder the child, which is heavily insinuated if not suggested by members of the liberal media.

Enforcing federal immigration laws is evil, you see. And we have a new sheriff in town that is—you know—going to do that. This infuriates the Left to no end.

The Obama administration shot tear gas at migrants at the border, they separated children from adults at the border, and guess what; migrants died under the custody of U.S. immigration officials. In fact,

In July 2016, Human Rights Watch condemned the Obama administration for 18 migrants who died while in the custody of USCBP, claiming that seven or more of the 18 died as the result of the agency’s “substandard” and “inappropriate” care for migrants at detention centers. The detainees who died then were between 24 and 49 years old.
